Moviemaker Dialogues is designed to allow our members to engage experienced filmmakers about their work and the business of filmmaking. Whether it is lighting, cinematography or editing, or how to get the most out of the festival circuit or how to find funding, these discussions with one filmmaker or a small group are your chance to hear from those who have been there and done that. Members are encouraged to use these opportunities to engage established filmmakers in the small, educational environment.
Moviemaker Dialogues are typically programmed with visiting filmmakers, so the schedule is irregular but there are around 6 - 8 per year. They take place at the AFS Screening Room (1901 E 51st Street) and are FREE for AFS MAKE level and above members, $5 for WATCH Members and $10 for the general public. Find out more about membership >>
