THE HORSE BOY chronicles the journey of the Isaacson
family as they travel through Mongolia in search of a mysterious shaman
who they believe can heal their autistic son. This film delves into the
strange world of autism, horses, shamanism, and Mongolia while telling
the story of a family that will go to the end of the earth to find a
way into their son’s life.
About the filmmaker:
Michel Orion Scott has
an eclectic film background that ranges from set construction and
design on narrative Hollywood films to abstract experimental work
and feature documentaries. MY FATHER IN THE RIVER, a narrative film,
took him to the heart of the Bolivian rainforest where he worked with
the native Moseten Indians of the region, using them as actors, extras
and crewmembers in a truly collaborative effort. Michel’s feature
documentary work includes camera and editing on TROOP 1500 as well as
TRINIDAD which premiered in June at the L.A. Film Festival.
