"… we don't know anything, until we look into each other's eyes, and then we start to know everything..."
Described
by Time Out Chicago as "two of the world's finest practitioners of the
art of long-form improv" and by the New York Times as "Second
City-seasoned masters", Tj Jagodowksi and Dave Pasquesi
have become living legends in their field. For the past six years,
their performances of entirely improvised, character-driven, often
hilarious and wholly original one-hour plays have mesmerized audiences
worldwide. Exploring the folds of trust and faith that underlie their
relationship as well as the transcendental forces that govern their
improvisation, TRUST US, THIS IS ALL MADE UP features an unforgettable
live performance recorded at New York's Barrow Street Theater earlier
this year. Whether you're a student of improvisation or simply
interested in the underpinnings of human imagination and the depths of
mutual understanding, this journey will leave you laughing, guessing,
and in awe of this altogether remarkable feat.
About the filmmaker:
Filmmaker Magazine selected Alex Karpovsky
as one of the "25 New Faces of Independent Film" after his debut
feature, THE HOLE STORY, won numerous awards on the festival circuit
before being released theatrically last year. Alex's new feature film, WOODPECKER,
premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival this past March and
is currently on the festival circuit. Occasionally acting, Alex
recently played the male lead in a new film by Andrew Bujalski as well
as the voices of several Russian gangsters in the recently released
"Grand Theft Auto IV". He hopes to shoot his next film, a psychosexual
thriller set in the Spanish Countryside, over the winter.
