The International Cinematographers Guild
presents an evening of short films photographed by the “best of the best” from
the rising stars within the Guild’s roster. The Directors of Photography on all of the films were
recognized for excellence by the Guild in the 2009 Emerging Cinematographer
Awards.

Nurturing talent and giving promising
cinematographers the crucial exposure they need to succeed in the Motion
Picture Industry lies at the heart of the International Cinematographers
Guild's annual Emerging Cinematographer Awards (ECA). Since 1996, all
members in good standing (except Directors of Photography) from all Local 600
regions submit their projects for consideration. This event gives these aspiring
cinematographers a chance to exhibit their short-form work and get crucial
exposure in a high profile venue. Thirteen years later we continue to
grow, nurture talent, and enjoy the journey as much as we did the very first
