$300 in Media Toolbox tape stock for post-production
At 9 years old, most kids use their computers for video games and the internet- Emily Hagins taught herself video editing. Inspired by the works of filmmakers such as George Romero and Peter Jackson, she began pushing her $300 consumer DV camera to its artistic limits, shooting just under 10 short movies within the next few years. Now age 12, Emily has her sights on a feature length film. Better yet, it’s about zombies. With the help of her mom, family, friends and a handful of actors, she takes on a task many filmmakers twice her age have not accomplished. This is the story of the challenges, successes, failures, and learning experiences of that quest.
