AFS has partnered with the Marchesa Hall & Theatre to expand its regular programming. With the installation of a new Dolby sound system and 35mm changeover projection, AFS at the Marchesa will be a home for AFS’s archival film programming and special series. The first AFS screening at the Marchesa was the DAZED AND CONFUSED 20th Anniversary Reunion.

The Marchesa is located on the WEST SIDE of The Lincoln Village Shopping Center across from Highland Mall facing MIDDLE FISKVILLE ROAD (NOT facing IH-35).

From IH-35 you can see signs for Golds Gym, Office Depot, Jerry’s Artarama. We are DIRECTLY behind Verona Ristorante Italiano, and next to Office Depot.

* From Airport Blvd. turn onto Highland Mall Blvd. Then take a right onto Middle Fiskville Road. The Marchesa will be on the left.

* Or, from IH-35, take the 2222W exit. Turn onto 2222W, it will turn into Koenig Ln, take an immediate right onto Middle Fiskville Road. The Marchesa will be on the right.

There is plenty of FREE PARKING directly in front and behind The Marchesa (over 1,000 spots total in the Lincoln Village Shopping Center).

Yes, there are drinks and light snacks available for purchase from the bar.

Does the bar accept credit cards?

Yes, the bar accepts credit cards.

What facilities are available for rent at the Marchesa?

The Marchesa has three rooms for rent: the ballroom (1000 capacity), the annex (400 capacity) and the theatre (278 capacity). A full bar is available in the lobby for all events.

How often will AFS be at the Marchesa?

AFS will host screenings at the Marchesa Hall & Theatre 16 nights a month and more on a space available basis. Typically, screenings will be held on Sundays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Does AFS own the equipment?

AFS owns the equipment, but other organizations may use it when renting the space by hiring an AFS-approved projectionist.

How can other organizations access the space?

What makes the AFS at the Marchesa different from other movie theaters in Austin?

AFS will show films without restrictions - classic, independent or up and coming programming. The spacious lobby will be available for use before and after each screening and AFS posters will be displayed throughout.  AFS members receive discounts or complimentary tickets to screenings we host.
