Here are a few of my many favorite memories of the Alamo Downtown on Colorado:
-- Chale Nafus, AFS Director of Programming
- Tab Hunter's delightful conversation with Eddie Muller from the stage
- Farley Granger and his lover of many decades arguing about various events in Farley's life
- The night I almost poured a pitcher of sangria over Quentin Tarantino's laughing head (unbeknownst to him) for showing the foulest home-invasion exploitation movie ever made
- All the rest of the AFS QT Fest screenings that always delivered some amazing cinematic moments
- The Britney/Justin/Christina singalong when I suddenly wondered what exactly was I doing there
- Odyssey covering various Journey songs to the accompaniment of their music videos
- MOMMIE DEAREST screening screamfest
- Luke Savisky's transcendent avant-garde projection art
- Graham Reynolds musical compositions for silent films (AFS and others)
- Working with Kier-La, Karen, Tim, Karrie, Sean, Afsheem, and the rest of the invaluable and wonderful Alamo Downtown staff
- Every Tuesday night (AFS Essential Cinema) and once-a-month AFS Doc screenings, when for a few moments I introduce various film treasures
