American Widow Project in NY Times

Just a few days after receiving an $8,000 TFPF distribution grant for their film the AMERICAN WIDOW PROJECT, co-directors Don Swaynos & Taryn Davis got a major boost an article profiling the film and their outreach plan in the New York Times.

The film follows Taryn, who at 21 years old lost her husband in Iraq, as she travels across the country to meet and interview other military widows in hopes of healing by sharing stories, tears and laughter.

From the article, "Her aim is to distribute the documentary to new war widows and widowers within the first two weeks of receiving the news of their spouse’s death, not just to share stories but also to give practical information: like when to expect the body to be flown home, what to do with personal items and how to plan a funeral."
