Baghead & The Order of Myths open in NYC

Ex-Austinites Jay & Mark Duplass and Margaret Brown go head-to-head this weekend (but in the friendliest possible way) as their films BAGHEAD and THE ORDER OF MYTHS, respectively, open in New York City. Both films premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, where AFS threw a little party for them and the other AFS-connected folks with films at the 'dances, and we did a super-awesome outdoor screening of BAGHEAD last month in advance of its Austin debut.
Some great reviews and interviews are popping up throughout the week - Filmmaker Magazine sat down with both Jay & Mark and Margaret and Indiewire posted this glowing review of MYTHS and also talked shop with the Dupes.
Speaking of Filmmaker Magazine, their just-published Summer issue includes the annual 25 New Faces of Independent Film and none other than David & Nathan Zellner made the list. Great news for the duo, coming off the premiere of their latest film GOLIATH on IFC's Video-on-Demand platform.
Look for David's cameo in the opening scene of BAGHEAD as the audience member who asks every filmmaker's favorite question, "What was your budget?"
