The HandgunThe HandgunThe Austin Film Society will present two programs of exciting, funny, eye-opening new short films from some of our 500-plus Filmmaker-Level Members at The Hideout during the SXSW Film Festival. Many of the filmmakers will be in attendance, so come on out, see the films and buy a filmmaker an Espresso Rocket Shake or two.

Jim doesn’t know how he died or why he’s back from the dead. He does know that he needs to water the plants, take out the trash, and figure out what the missing piece of his to-do-list says before he rots away or his killer kills him gain.

THE HELPERS: MIDNIGHT STARE

When The Helpers play a midnight show in the woods, they get an unexpected surprise. It’s alternative country meets A Midsummer Night’s Dream, so grab a beer and join the jamboree.

Tim Day is an entrepreneur extraordinaire who produces a one-man television network called “Hood News”. The Next Tim Day chronicles his rise from the housing projects of Galveston, TX and federal prison to the shimmering lights of the Sundance Film Festival.
