The satirical romantic comedy FOR SERIOUS follows recently unemployed attorney Pete Pierson (Jason Newman, THE MAN FROM ORLANDO, GOOD NIGHT) as he starts production on his first movie. He may not have a burning passion to express himself, or even a basic understanding of film, but he does have a crush on an indie film queen and plenty of free time. With help from his flaky best friend, dead beat brother, and a rival director known around town as "MumblecOrson Welles," Pete's movie can't miss. Assuming he ever figures out what it's about.
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
FOR SERIOUS is John Sheehan’s debut feature film. Sheehan studied English at New York University and law at the University of Virginia where he co-wrote and co-directed the school’s 100th Anniversary of its musical comedy revue. More recently, he worked craft services for Bob Byington’s upcoming film SOMEBODY UP THERE LIKES ME, and co-wrote an award-winning short with Arts + Labor.
