Free summer movie fun is back! For seven years, Central Market has teamed up with radio station 101X for free movies in the Central Market Cafe park area on the three-story Alamo Draught House inflatable big movie screen. Bring your blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy $2.50 draught beers with lots of fun meal deals. No outside food or drinks are allowed in the Central Market Cafe park area. The featured movie, 1991 cult American fantasy dramedy Drop Dead Fred, starts at sundown. The movie stars British comedian Rik Mayall, Phoebe Cates, and Marsha Mason with a supporting cast by Carrie Fisher, Ron Eldard, Tim Matheson, and Bridget Fonda. This year's Summer Movie Series is presented by Round Rock Auto Group with additional sponsorship by Union Pacific Railroad, Seton Medical Central Austin, Gold's Gym, and Fred Loya Insurance.
