Description

The Second Annual Texas Shorts Fest is seeking entries. This festival was designed by and for Texas Filmmakers as an outlet for their work and their name. Texas Shorts Fest is a one night Festival that will be held at Lambert's in Downtown Austin on March 31st. This is a great opportunity to show Austin what you have been making and what you're made of. Texas film professional's as well as your fellow filmmakers will be the majority of the audience. Last years festival was a great success, and this year we are taking it up a notch.

This is the Texas Shorts Fest - the films have to be shorts and have to be shot in Texas (we would rather the films be under 30 minutes, but it is not written in stone). Aside from that, anything goes. Narratives, Documentaries, Mock Trailers, UT thesis films - anything at all, as long as it was shot in Texas.

You can drop entries at Lambert's which is located at the corner of 2nd and Guadalupe (try not to go during peak dining hours if you can). Include a brief synopsis and bio along with the DVDs (DVD's only please). Please place items in an envelope in order to keep materials together - write: Care of Sheriff Schenker on the envelope, and the hostesses will know it is for the Festival. No entry fee is necessary. The deadline is Friday March 28th, but if your project is completed please try and get it to us ASAP.

Last years Lamby went to Elise Ballard for her film Lord of the Wein's: a Dachumetary. A great short doc about the Weiner dog races in Buda, so the bar has been set pretty high. All will be invited.

If for some reason you can't drop it off, please contact us thru the email link above and we will provide a shipping address.
