Amplify Assembly 2019

AFS is proud to be hosting our annual Amplify Assembly Mixer and Mission Control events @ Austin Public in early 2019. This program supports small, local nonprofit organizations participating in Amplify Austin, I Live Here I Give Here’s annual day of community-wide online giving.

AMPLIFY ASSEMBLY MIXER: This mixer and open house will kick off our Amplify 2019 efforts and is targeted towards small, local nonprofits.

WHEN: January 29th from 6-8pm

WHERE: Austin Public – 1143 Northwestern Ave. Austin, TX 78702

WHAT: a mixer event to help kick off our Amplify efforts. We’ll have food, drinks, meet & greet with other local non-profits, a social media marketing strategies presentation by Aly Van Dyke a Marketing and Communications Consultant for the City of Austin, AFS and ILHIGH staff on-hand, studio and equipment demos for live social media streaming and a presentation about our Mission Control event (see below).

MISSION CONTROL EVENT & STREAMING MEDIA CREATION

We will be opening up our meeting spaces, studios and equipment room to provide 15 small, local non-profits the ability to run their campaigns out of Austin Public on the night of Thursday, February 28th from 6-10pm. During our Mission Control event, the participating non-profits will have access to computers, wifi, tech support, studio time and equipment to run their campaign and do live online streaming on their social media platforms to help promote their campaigns. For those selected to participate in Mission Control event the studios and equipment will also be available the week and a half leading up to Amplify Austin Day as well as March 1st from 11am – 6pm.

So, applicants are applying for the following:

  • Workspace at our Mission Control event on Thursday, February 28th from 6-10pm to kick start their campaign at Austin Public. Wifi will be provided and computers are available.
  • To have access to tech support, studios and equipment during our Mission Control Event on February 28th from 6-10pm as well as on March 1st from 11am-6pm for live streaming media creations.
  • Have additional practice, training and early streaming video creation time leading up to Amplify from February 18th – 27th.

We will notify all applicants with the list of selected organizations and more details by Monday, February 11th.

Deadline to apply for a spot at out Mission Control Event and access to streaming media resources is Friday, February 8th @ 5pm.
