This July, the Savage Gold Team - Max Dropout and Lars Nilsen - will be joined by special guest programmer Zack Carlson to present an ALL NIGHT showcase of rare video oddities under the stars at the Blue Starlite Drive In, conveniently located at Austin Studios. As always, attendees must bring at least one ultra-roguish snack item or drink for the Junk Food Potluck, and, as you would expect, the selection of short and feature videos will confound, surprise and delight you. This installment of SAVAGE GOLD is inspired by the USA Network’s ‘80s and ‘90s all night programming, from the stonerific NIGHT FLIGHT to the bowdlerized T&A of UP ALL NIGHT. There are a limited number of drive-up slots and plenty of outdoor seating for all.

Ticket Options
There are two kinds of tickets. A Car ticket gets you and your car (with as many as 5 people in it) into the venue. A general admission ticket means you will be admitted to the back lot. A limited number of seats will be provided but you are advised to bring your own chair. Blankets, rugs, etc. as well if you like, but be advised that the ground is hard and will probably be very warm. Bring a chair and you'll be much happier.

Video collectors play an essential role in conserving materials and providing opportunities for critical review of films that may never have had a chance to reach audiences the first time around. They also tend to have bizarre tastes and a sick sense of humor. SAVAGE GOLD is a new series supervised by Maximillian Meehan and Lars Nilsen that gives these video collectors free rein to curate programs of strange and unseen materials. These shows are for the most adventurous viewers, offering everything from microbudget, shot on video action epics to homemade music videos and more."
