Adobe After Effects is a compositing, motion graphics, and digital visual effects application developed by Adobe Systems and used in the post-production process of film making and television production.

In this class we will introduce students to the basic tools and workflows for compositing layers and elements to create VFX shots such as:

  • Working with green screens
  • Tracking shots to incorporate elements into a plate
  • Overview of the content-aware fill tool
  • Basic color grading techniques using the Lumetri panel

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: CESAR GUEVARA
Founder and director of the independent collective Tren Géminis, César has produced, edited and directed numerous short films shown in various national and international film festivals. Most recently, he edited the stop-motion animated short film “The Homecoming” released in 2014 (Best Guanajuato Short Film – Guanajuato International Film Festival) and the 2017 short film “Little Star” (Best Independent Film – Cinema New York City). When he is not making films, he works as a Motion Graphic Designer for several agencies and artists from Mexico.
