Austin Public Studio Crew Certification

Austin Public’s Studio Certification class is for those interested in working on a studio show produced out of one of Austin Public’s 2 larger studios. A crew certified person is not required to become a Producer to work on a production.

This class covers the following topics:

• Studio Safety
• Basic lighting board operation
• Basic camera operation
• Brief Control Room overview
• Austin Public policies and procedures

You are not required to take a Crew Certification class if you are registered for a Studio 1 or 2 class.

Our classes do not have age limits, however, they are best suited for ages 15 and up. For minors wanting to crew on a show, we require a parent or legal guardian sign THIS WAIVER. Please email a signed copy back to austinpublic@austinfilm.org or bring it in person on or before the class date.
