This 2.5-hour onsite class covers the seven Universal Representations & Warranties that inform what content may be submitted for playback on the public access channels (cablecasted through 3 cable providers) and online streaming.
The topics covered include:
1. Defamation & Invasion of Privacy laws
2. Texas state obscenities law
3. Material contrary to the law
5. Solicitation of funds
6. Unlawful copyright use
7. Immediate danger or damage
This is the one required class other than Orientation to become a Producer at Austin Public. The class is taught by Doug Gray, Austin Public’s Station Manager, and there will be allotted class time at the end to answer any program questions you may have or receive an update on your program status.
