In this class we’ll learn how to use Adobe Photoshop as a creative tool within a video production workflow. We will use the software to create titles and credits, in addition to creating simple VFX (such as set extensions, shot enhancements and custom digital gels) and applying Photoshop filters to video files.

This class will cover the following topics:

  • Video presets in Photoshop
  • Titles, Credits and Lower Thirds using Photoshop and Premiere
  • How to import PSD files in Premiere
  • Set extensions and shot enhancements
  • Applying Photoshop filters to video files
  • Creating custom digital gels for video
  • Creating Color Look Up Tables (LUTs) using Photoshop

Founder and director of the independent collective Tren Géminis, César has produced, edited and directed numerous short films shown in various national and international film festivals. Most recently, he edited the stop-motion animated short film “The Homecoming” released in 2014 (Best Guanajuato Short Film – Guanajuato International Film Festival) and the 2017 short film “Little Star” (Best Independent Film – Cinema New York City). When he is not making films, he works as a Motion Graphic Designer for several agencies and artists from Mexico.
