Writer/Director/Producer: SHARON ARTEAGA
Sharon Arteaga is a director who has self-produced her award-winning short films and music videos. Her latest film “Plane Pretend” received an AFS Grant and has a won four best shorts awards in the festival circuit. She is a two-time recipient of the Texas Archive of the Moving Image Award and was chosen out of 900+ films to tour with LUNAFEST, a traveling film festival celebrating, showcasing and championing women in film. Arteaga has been a live action production coordinator at Rooster Teeth, a freelance field producer, a Production Manager for Cine Las Americas International Film Festival, Emily Hagin’s web series Hold to Your Best Self, the documentary company doculab, and now runs her own production company One Lunchbox Productions, LLC, which has done work for clients like CapMetro and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Arteaga was recently a 2019 Tribeca Chanel Through Her Lens finalist for her short screenplay “In Tow.” She is working on several narrative shorts while developing her first feature film. Arteaga has mentored youth at the Austin Film Society for over 7 years and has taught preproduction at Austin Public for over 4 years. She holds a bachelor’s in Radio-Television-Film from The University of Texas at Austin.
