A Toast to Texas Film

Honoring Glen Powell

Thursday, May 16, at 6:30 PM | Troublemaker Studios

It’s official: Glen Powell is a bona fide Texas film star, having appeared in Oscar® noms, box office smash hits, and collaborations with prominent directors such as our own Richard Linklater, whose highly anticipated new film, HIT MAN, stars Powell and Adria Arjona.

The Austin Film Society will induct Glen Powell into the Texas Film Hall of Fame at the official Netflix premiere of HIT MAN, and to celebrate this momentous occasion, AFS invites you to help us honor him  — and his already-huge career — at this year’s fundraising gala, A Toast to Texas Film, on May 16 at Troublemaker Studios.

This will be an unforgettable night complete with a red carpet, cocktail reception, seated dinner, and toasts to Glen from special guests, all at the famed Troublemaker Studios. Your support provides essential funding for our programs — including the AFS Grant and Creative Careers, our workforce development program — which help nurture emerging Texas filmmakers. On top of that, all dinner guests will receive a special invitation, courtesy of Netflix and AFS, to the Austin premiere of HIT MAN taking place the evening of May 15 at the Paramount Theatre.
