This workshop will give participants a better understanding of working on a professional film and TV set. From assigning crew roles to scheduling productions, class participants will learn every aspect of running a set. Through hands-on training, they will be immersed in a professional filmmaking environment. And after learning key concepts and technical terminology, participants will also collaborate on the production of a scene. By understanding the ins and outs of film production at a professional level, participants will leave better filmmakers, ready to create their own projects.

- Two-person Scene Exercise
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE OR SUGGESTED CLASSES: Participants must come to class with a basic knowledge of handling cameras, grip, and lighting gear.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Stephen Ohl is an award-winning writer/director with over 10 years of professional experience. He received an MFA in directing from the AFI Conservatory. He made his feature debut with the hilarious USELESS HUMANS, which was released on Showtime in 2020. His newest show is a comedy titled SALES ARE DOPE and was released on YouTube last year.
