For eight years musicians and composers working with Chicago’s Access Contemporary Music (ACM) have delighted audiences with new compositions accompanying an array of wonderful short films exemplifying the best in animation, comedy, drama and experimental cinema. The films selected by ACM become fresh once more when remixed with new music played live by an innovative small ensemble including flute, clarinet, violin, cello, percussion and piano. A 2013 concert at the Anthology Film Archives in New York City was a huge success. Now AFS is pleased to present an evening of fascinating films and new music brought to us by ACM, Seth Boustead, and Francesco Milioto along with Austin musicians Elizabeth Lee, Francois Minaux, Peter Stopschinski, Elizabeth Warren, Chris Whittemore, and Adam Bedell.
