Werner Herzog turns his lens on the resiliency of the human spirit in this life-affirming portrait of Fini Straubinger, who lost her sight and hearing early in life. His camera follows her as she helps others come to terms with a world reliant on sight and sound. Of particular personal significance to Herzog, he later noted, “ If I had not have made it there would be a great gap in my existence”.
