“Astounding, groundbreaking, electrifying and among the best films about any artist I’ve ever seen”
“Essential. True to everything that Bowie was about.”
Told through sublime, kaleidoscopic, never-before-seen footage, performances and music, Brett Morgen’s (THE KID STAYS IN THE PICTURE, COBAIN: MONTAGE OF HECK, JANE) feature length experiential cinematic odyssey explores David Bowie’s creative, musical and spiritual journey. Five years in the making, the film is guided by David Bowie’s own narration and is the first officially sanctioned film on the artist.
Modern Rocks Gallery will host a pop-up gallery in the lobby of the AFS Cinema during the first weekend (September 23-25) featuring exclusive and rare David Bowie prints and books.
Also screening in October: David Bowie in THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH.
