This new Korean action movie is a throwback to the grimy, neon-lit Hollywood thrillers of the ’70s and ’80s and their ’90s Hong Kong gun-fu counterparts. There’s nothing quite as thrilling as an action movie done well and this one is just right.
“Director/writer Lee Won-tae keeps the pace moving swiftly, showing off an energetic sensibility that heralds a new voice on the South Korean film scene.” – Cary Darling, Houston Chronicle
“As much fun as it is to watch Lee beat people up and strut around in shiny pinstripe suits, it’s just as much of a pleasure to watch him think it all through.” – Jessica Klang, Variety
“Delivers the goods at every turn… a nice counterbalance to the recent glut of uninspired Hollywood tentpole blockbusters currently taking up way too much space.” – Andrew Parker, The Gate
