Short films (30 minutes and under) are being accepted on a rolling basis for AFS’s upcoming Short Works-In-Progress. You must be an AFS member or Austin Public Producer to submit (verification checked after submission).
AFS’s Community Media department is happy to present this series, which offers the filmmaking community of Austin peer-level critiques of their work. We hold regular screenings of rough/fine cuts, followed by audience discussion and feedback. Sessions are moderated by experienced Austin filmmakers and audience members are expected to agree to confidentiality regarding the film and the feedback process.
Submissions are accepted on a rolling deadline. Once all short film slots have been filled, we will contact accepted filmmakers to determine the screening date.
Screenings are held in the evening at Austin Public’s Studio 1 (1143 Northwestern Ave).
SUBMISSION MATERIALS INCLUDE:
1. Director and/or Producer contact information, including: Name, mailing address, phone #, and email.
2. A short synopsis of the film (1 paragraph maximum, should read like a festival program).
3. A short bio for the Director/Producer.
Please note: projects will not be considered unless the Producer / Director is an AFS member or Austin Public Producer. Join here.
