There are no current or future screenings planned for this film.

“The original, a disaster movie and cautionary tale, feels like a different animal, or monster, altogether.”
—The New York Times

“Godzilla is pop culture’s grandest symbol of nuclear apocalypse”
—Entertainment Weekly

Note that we will show both versions of this film: the original Japanese cut with subtitles for all shows but the Saturday afternoon one, and the very different, re-edited, English-language version on Saturday afternoon at 4:45pm.

This is the big one. Before Gojira became a kids movie franchise, it presented the giant reptilian monster as a totem of nuclear war’s mighty power. Very different in tone and quite powerful.
