In THE ADVENTURE OF DENCHU KOZO, an 8mm epic from TETSUO: THE IRON MAN’S Shinya Tsukamoto, the only thing standing in the way of a gang of Metal Vampires is a time-traveling young man with a utility pole growing out of his back. Then, in Katsuyuki Hirano’s adaptation of a comic by Katsuhiro Otomo (AKIRA), a couple goes in unexpected directions following a quarrel and a break-up in HAPPINESS AVENUE.
