Studio Resource Certification & Control Room Training
(2-Day Course)
This two-day hands-on course provides full certification for Producers in Austin Public’s Producer Program to use Studio 2 and its Control Room. The class combines studio floor training with control room operation to prepare you for creating professional multi-camera productions from start to finish.
Studio 2 features a 360 sq. ft. studio equipped with an LED lighting system, Panasonic PTZ robotic cameras (x3), a news desk, various curtains, and a seamless green screen backdrop. You’ll also receive dedicated instruction on the Studio 2 Control Room, this includes multi-camera switching, audio workflows, and live production tools.
What You’ll Learn:
Day 1: Studio Floor Training (Studio 2)
• LED lighting board and various light types
• Overview and operation of Panasonic PTZ cameras and controller
• Studio protocols, general safety, and ladder usage
• Studio layout including curtain use, green screen, and set configuration
Day 2: Control Room Training
• AJA Ki-Pro recorders
• Control room terminology, protocols, and safety
• Multi-camera switching with Ross Carbonite Switcher
• Allen & Heath SQ audio board and audio workflow
• Teleprompter operation and software
• Playback software (ProPresenter and Xpression)
