The Public Premiere of “THE THING THAT COMES”
Screening will be followed by a Live Q&A with director Deborah Valcin and writer Ashlee Smith moderated by Head of Austin Studios, Martin Jones.
In a world where magic and the mundane collide, we meet Celeste, a powerful, whimsical witch, who after shallow encounters with egotistical and emotionally stunted warlocks, attempts to open up her dating options by trying out a “non-magical” man. Against her better judgment, she gets serious with a regular fellow, until the things that come with dating a witch scare him away.
Community screenings are free and open to the public, but you must RSVP in advance in order to attend. Please arrive early as seating is first come, first serve. An RSVP does not guarantee admission, as these shows are slightly oversold to ensure a full house.
