Where will the new theater be?

Our third theater will be a new screen in the current AFS Cinema building in the Linc Shopping Center. We’ll be taking the original event space and outfitting it to be a new theater with 170+ seats.

When will the new theater be open?

Construction is underway, with an opening date expected later in 2026!

Membership & Perks

When will these campaign perks be delivered?

Your membership will start immediately, or if you are a current member, it will add a year of membership from the day of your gift. Small merch items will be mailed to you, and t-shirts will be available for pickup at the AFS Cinema in August. T-shirts can be mailed by request.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes! As Austin Film Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, all or a portion of your gift is tax-deductible. Consult a tax professional for the tax deductibility of your gift.

I already paid for my membership this year, can I get the perks?

If you are already a member, consider making this an additional gift to support your favorite art house cinema!

What if my membership perk is a different level that I am at currently?

If your gift qualifies you for a higher membership level than you have currently, we will begin your new higher level membership immediately.

What if I have an auto-renewal coming up?

If you’d like to pause your regular membership auto-renewal and give to the campaign, reach out to development@austinfilm.org for your options.

Can I pay using other methods besides credit card?

We also accept payment via check, DAF, appreciated securities, bank transfer, etc. Checks can be mailed to: AFS Development, 1901 E 51st Street, Austin TX 78723. Please reach out for questions about any of these other options at development@austinfilm.org.
