Starting with BEFORE SUNRISE, Linklater’s 1995 tale of a man and woman (Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy) who meet on a train and spend an overnight layover together, this series has grown organically with the two subsequent films to encompass a kind of romance that is physical, intellectual and spiritual. In short, it is a particularly Austin kind of Valentine’s week trilogy.
