Join Richard Linklater, BLAZE director Ethan Hawke, actor Ben Dickey, and author Sybil Rosen for the Austin theatrical premiere of BLAZE about the life of Texas troubadour Blaze Foley.
BLAZE tells the story of legendary singer-songwriter Blaze Foley from early years of living in a Georgia treehouse to defining the Texas Outlaw music scene in 1980s Austin. Directed by Ethan Hawke, who helmed the script with Foley’s longtime partner Sybil Rosen, the film is inspired by Rosen’s 2008 memoir, Living In The Woods In A Tree: Remembering Blaze Foley.
“It’s a tour de force of oversized charm and verve, a living ballad of song-writer-as-ramblin’-man (and almost compulsive screw-up).” – Austin American Statesman (Joe Gross)
