“Critic’s Pick! The weirdest of the weird …a Richard Scarry town on acid.”
–The New York Times

“With his hilariously offbeat, uniquely stylized and surreptitiously profound debut, Glander joins a small but notable list of directors daring enough to try their hand at indie animation in the U.S., joining the ranks of Bill Plympton, Dash Shaw and Don Hertzfeldt.”
–Variety

“One of the freshest films of 2025, brilliantly juxtaposing the endless creative opportunities afforded to us.”
–IndieWire

The day after Christmas in suburban Florida, teen slacker Billy 5000 (Jack Corbett) hustles food deliveries on the Grubster app, aiming to make $5,000 before New Year’s. A drop-off leads to an unexpected reunion with childhood crush Rozebud (Miya Folick) and an encounter with a stowaway alien named Donut, putting him at odds with ruthless juice mogul Dr. Dolphin (Janeane Garofalo).

Directed by Julian Glander in his signature lo-fi CGI style, BOYS GO TO JUPITER transforms suburban Florida into a pastel purgatory of empty strip malls, algorithmic music, and adolescent yearning. An offbeat odyssey through love, labor, and late-capitalist absurdity, the film — with deadpan humor, musical detours, and a deeply felt strangeness — reimagines the coming-of-age comedy as a vapor-soaked fable for the burnout generation.

Featuring the additional voice talents of Tavi Gevinson, Julio Torres, Joe Pera, Chris Fleming, Elsie Fisher, Grace Kuhlenschmidt, Sarah Sherman, Cole Escola, Eva Victor, River L. Ramirez, Max Wittert, and Demi Adejuyigbe.
