“Feels like a film under pressure, ready to detonate with a creative force that redoubles the go-for-broke passion attached to its protagonist’s hustles. It is a testament to cinema’s shapeshifting power––what it can do, what it can be.”
The Film Stage

“A maddeningly radical, tedious, shockingly repetitious, brilliant two-hour-and-43-minute Godard–meets–Harmony Korine Romanian masterpiece in which we spend way too much time locked in the car of a confident, trashy, gum-chewing workaholic PA for a movie company as she does her chores. When I finished watching the movie, I was pretty sure I didn’t like it, but when I woke up the next morning, I realized I loved it. Suffer for cinema! Sometimes it’s worth it!” – John Waters, “Best Films of 2023,” Vulture

From Golden Bear winner Radu Jude, the provacateur responsible for BAD LUCK BANGING OR LOONY PORN and I DO NOT CARE IF WE GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS BARBARIANS) comes DO NOT EXPECT TOO MUCH FROM THE END OF THE WORLD. This sprawling new film takes a fierce and darkly comic swipe at modern day life.

Overworked and underpaid production assistant Angela (Ilinca Manolache) is assigned to film a workplace safety video for a multinational corporation in Bucharest. When one of the interviewees makes a statement that ignites a scandal, Angela has to re-invent the story.

Featuring appearances from Nina Hoss, Uwe Boll, and Angela’s TikTok alter-ego Bobiță, Jude’s anarchic satire is a wild and unforgettable ride through the vulgar indignities of the 21st century.
