Join us opening night, May 17, for a vinyl pre-show by DJ Hip Priest (Chris Engberg) beginning at 8PM.

Billing itself as an “anti-documentary”, Charles Atlas’ legendary HAIL THE NEW PURITAN sees Leigh Bowery’s Blitz Kids take to the dance floor.

Pirouetting his way through the ’80s demimonde of London, Michael Clark, Enfant terrible of the British ballet, performs pliés in assless leotards, flirts with pandrogynous club-goers, and mingles in cemeteries. Featuring the music of: The Fall, Bruce Gilbert (Wire), Glenn Branca, Lulu, Ravel & Elvis, HAIL THE NEW PURITAN is a rare piece of “pop mythology”, complete with surreal sketches opposite Mark E. Smith and Clark striping to his underwear for a sadboy solo to Elvis Presley’s “Are You Lonesome Tonight?”.
