Hachimiri Madness: Japanese Indies From The Punk Years

There are no current or future screenings planned for this film.

First up, we have two tales of flying saucers and teenage angst with UNK (15 min) and HIGH-SCHOOL-TERROR (6 min) from then-high schooler Macoto Tezuka (son of the legendary “Godfather of Manga” Osamu Tezuka). Then, the work of director Masashi Yamamoto (ROBINSON’S GARDEN, WHAT’S UP CONNECTION) returns to our screens with the peculiar adventures of a residential condo. An early endeavor from the unheralded punk auteur, SAINT TERRORISM (127 min) makes it clear that the director has never strayed from his early radical roots.
