AFS and The Contemporary members are invited to a happy hour before the October 10 screening, with discounted cocktails and a photo booth.
Arnold Schwarzenegger makes an unforgettable impression in the titular role of a near-silent cyborg assassin sent back in time to kill Sarah Connor, whose son would eventually lead the resistance against Skynet—the sentient AI defense network responsible for a nuclear holocaust. James Cameron’s THE TERMINATOR is a streamlined and tightly-directed thrill ride.
Guest programmer Huma Bhabha’s artwork is also concerned with the space between cybernetic and organic life, machines, war, the post-apocalypse and pop culture.
