The sensitively mounted 1947 adaptation of Henry James’ The Aspern Papers, starring Robert Cummings, Susan Hayward and Agnes Moorhead is preceded by the 1911 silent short TRAMP STRATEGY from pioneering early filmmaker Alice Guy Blaché (Alice Guy Blaché, France,1911, 35mm, 12 min. Silent).
