In the first installment of Toho Studio’s pulpy, pop-art trilogy of gothic vampire films, a spooky old mansion brings unwelcome memories of the past to life for a young couple. Like the other two films in the thematically connected series, the film feels like a colorful ‘70s horror comic brought to life on the screen.
