One of the most controversial films ever made, Ken Russell’s THE DEVILS, is coming to US screens for the first time in its uncut form.
Starring Oliver Reed and Vanessa Redgrave in a story of religious mania and persecution so extreme that it has been virtually an underground film since its release. Condemned by the Vatican but praised at international film festivals, THE DEVILS was only released in a censored version in the US. Even the censored version received an X rating. Finally, for those with the stomach for its excesses, an essential chapter in the history of art-horror is available as director Ken Russell intended it.
