AFS Announces Special Red Carpet Screening of WHERE’D YOU GO, BERNADETTE with Richard Linklater

(Austin, TX)—Austin Film Society (AFS) will host a special red carpet screening of Annapurna Pictures’ WHERE’D YOU GO, BERNADETTE on Thursday, August 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the AFS Cinema. Richard Linklater, the director of the film and founder of AFS, will introduce the film and participate in a post-screening discussion. The screening will be open to the public and AFS members. Tickets will go on sale to AFS members on Tuesday, July 16 and the general public on Friday, July 19 at austinfilm.org. The event benefits the artistic and educational programs of AFS.

The film centers on Bernadette Fox, a loving mom who becomes compelled to reconnect with her creative passions after years of sacrificing herself for her family. WHERE’D YOU GO, BERNADETTE is based on Maria Semple’s novel of the same name. Starring Cate Blanchett, Billy Crudup, and Kristen Wiig, and directed by Richard Linklater, the film also features Emma Nelson, James Urbaniak, Judy Greer, Troian Bellisario, Zoe Chao and Laurence Fishburne.
