“Raw and complex … the best thing John Singleton has done to date.”
—Chicago Reader
In a role originally intended for Tupac Shakur, Tyrese Gibson plays a young man on the cusp of adulthood who is struggling to find his place in the world, a task made even harder in the context of South Central LA’s pressures. Written and directed by John Singleton. The first screening will be introduced by Singleton biographer Mark D. Cunningham. In 35mm.
This project is supported in part by an Elevate Grant of Austin Arts, Culture, Music and Entertainment.
