Spurred by a “poetic view of the galaxy,” German chanteuse Nico and filmmaker Philippe Garrel forged a decade‑long relationship and artistic collaboration, producing some of the most hermetic and enigmatic films in all of cinema. Nico’s presence has continued to reverberate through Garrel’s films long after their separation and her death, her voice and story haunting his art.
