CERTIFICATION CLASS

Adobe After Effects is a compositing, motion graphics, and digital visual effects application developed by Adobe Systems and used in the post-production process of film making and television production. In this class we will introduce students to the basic tools and workflows to animate visual elements and text to create interesting titles and simple but attractive motion graphics.

This motion graphics version of the class will cover:

  • Learning the Interface
  • Import and organize footage
  • compositing layers in a composition
  • Modify and animate layer properties
  • Add effects and modify effect properties
  • Building and animating text
  • 3D Text Layers
  • 3D Integration
  • 3D Modes in AE: Classic 3D vs C4D
  • Cameras
  • Lights
  • 3D Camera Tracker
  • Introduction to Expressions
  • Render and export

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: CESAR GUEVARA
Founder and director of the independent collective Tren Géminis, César has produced, edited and directed numerous short films shown in various national and international film festivals. Most recently, he edited the stop-motion animated short film “The Homecoming” released in 2014 (Best Guanajuato Short Film – Guanajuato International Film Festival) and the 2017 short film “Little Star” (Best Independent Film – Cinema New York City). When he is not making films, he works as a Motion Graphic Designer for several agencies and artists from Mexico.
