Producer Program: Focus Fridays @ Austin Public

FOCUS FRIDAYS

Join us for a free monthly event exclusive for members of the AFS Producer Program to connect, collaborate, and enhance your skills in a supportive environment. This event offers co-working spaces, studio access, and opportunities for hands-on practice, which includes staff-led activities in a studio and the chance to work with gear onsite (subject to availability) helping you grow socially, creatively, and technically.

MAY 30TH

11 AM–6:45 PM | Co-Working Spaces

• Available in the Conference Room (seats 10) and Lounge (seats 6). Access to use our Google Fiber for all your work needs.
• Come work on your projects, personal creative endeavors, or any other personal work in a productive and collaborative atmosphere.

3–6:45 PM

• Studio Access: Studios 1 and 3 will be open for hands-on practice.
• Studio Spotlight: Join Doug Gray, General Manager of Austin Public, for an informative and hands-on workshop in Studio 2 focused on managing scripted TV skits and scenes in a small studio space, where you’ll learn how to maximize the small space and green screen for dynamic, creative storytelling. This workshop will start at 3pm and run for about 2 hours.
• Gear Practice: Producers can get hands-on with equipment on site (based on gear availability and certification). Tech support will be provided by Charles Wright, Station Engineer at Austin Public.

RSVP Required. These events will occur monthly, but limited spots are available each time, so reserve your place early. This event is for active Producers only. 

Lunch is not provided, but there is a vending machine on site and a small mini fridge in the Lounge if you bring food. There is also a wide variety of options for food delivery in the area. Food is permitted in the Conference Room and Lounge.
