When the Russian invasion of Ukraine began in 2022, many thousands of people became refugees in their own country, fleeing to safer areas. This documentary depicts some of those travelers on their journeys in an innovative way. While volunteering in evacuations, the director — himself a filmmaker —documented the journeys of refugees with their permission. As he drove them to safety, cameras mounted in his car captured their firsthand accounts as they navigated confusing and unsafe routes. A remarkable document.
