TAKE IT AND COME is a documentary feature film that follows the conception, organization, and execution of the 2016 “dildo protest” by a group of young female students at the University of Texas. Following the passage of a bill allowing concealed handguns into college classrooms, Take It and Come is a story of resistance to Texas gun culture inserting itself into public spaces and risking the safety of the communities that share those spaces.
About the Filmmaker
AUDRA WEBBE (DIRECTOR) is a documentarian and freelance editor. In 2016, she began filming the young women of the #CocksNotGlocks protest and embarked on her first feature documentary. She successfully crowdfunded seed money for the project in 2018 and has since transitioned into post-production with a small crew of dedicated fellow filmmakers. She works as a freelance video editor in Austin, TX. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a film degree in 2017.
