Critic, essayist and novelist Susan Sontag was an intellectual force throughout her working life. So much so that in 1969 she was invited to make a film for a Swedish producer. The result is this dark comedy of manners about a love quadrangle between four very different people in Stockholm.
REVIEWS
“DUET FOR CANNIBALS doesn’t seem to owe much to anybody except to Miss Sontag and her own idiomatic, uncluttered sense of the medium.” – Roger Greenspun, The New York Times
“Sontag achieved a lot in Duet – not least a remarkable fusion of emotion and intellect. Its spotlight on intellectual power dynamics and sexual politics also speaks strongly to our present moment.” – Jerome Boyd Maunsell, The Times Literary Supplement
